A week till Christmas and today it’s not about the site per se but about the idea. We got to know about this live crib where you can truly experience the true story of the Nativity. This live crib takes place in Gozo... one of the islands of the Maltese Archipelago in the Mediterranean. Volunteers have set up a nativity village called “Betlehem f’Ghajnsielem” spread over 20,000 square meters. About 150 actors take visitors back in time to Judea of 2000 years ago. And the most beautiful part? You can actually sleep over at the village at the Betlehem Inn. There are only four rooms to rent so it is very exclusive.... but very cheap! The room is set up to resemble a real inn of that time, and you are also given traditional clothes to put you more in the spirit. During the day you can then try your hand at farming and live the life of 2000 years ago. It’s never a white Christmas in Malta so you will also be enjoying some good weather!
