IMAGINE PEACE TOWER is literally a tower of light on Videy Island in Reykjavik, Iceland. Conceived on October 9th 2007 by Lennon's wife, Yoko Ono, the shimmering tower of light appears every year from October 9th (John’s birthday) until December 8th (the anniversary of his death) to communicate awareness to the whole world that peace & love is what connects all lives on Earth. The words IMAGINE PEACE are inscribed on the wishing well of the tower of light in 24 different languages.
